Closure of golf and footgolf courses

Closure of our golf and footgolf courses

You may have seen an announcement in the press earlier this year regarding a development of a 170 lodge park here at High Lodge.

For the past 2 years, we have been working on a development of lodges, which will be built over most of the golf course. Planning permission was received for this last month which will mean the project could start as early as spring this year. The development will not be owned by High Lodge, we will be selling the land, but this will not affect the rest of the business, which will be retained as it currently stands.

We have therefore decided not to re-open the golf and footgolf course from 29th March when all our other activities re-open and the course will now remain CLOSED.

We would like to thank all of those who have supported the course over the years, and please remember we welcome anyone to use our other facilities here at High Lodge at anytime.

We have enjoyed 22 years of golf at the venue, however the golf has changed over the past 10 years and it is time for a new chapter in our business. Whilst it is a decision the family have not taken lightly, it is the right decision for the family and the business moving forward.

On behalf of the family,

Jane Coppen
Managing Director
