Air Rifle

Set in natural woodlands at High Lodge, our air rifle range offers 5 ranges with field targets on each.
4 of our ranges have a distance of 20-40 metres and will house 2 people on each range. Our new long air rifle range is up to 80 metres long and will house up to 4 people at any one time. Air Rifle Shooting is suitable for those aged 8yrs+.

Our set up enables those with their own air rifle the opportunity in booking a 2 hour session for air rifle practice during current opening hours. For clarity, as long as your air rifle or air pistol is a standard 12ft pounds or less, and not on a firearms certificate, then it can be used here on our ranges. We do ask that all air rifles/pistols are carried in cases and not in view of everyone. We ask that NO FIRE ACTIVE TARGETS TO BE USED ON THE GROUND due to the level of noise they create.

All of our air rifle ranges offer an array of targets, some still, some spinning, but additional air rifle target cards are available to purchase in our shop. Please see our shop for our full range of targets, pellets, rifle slips, rifles and more!

Whilst pre booking an air rifle session is not essential, due to the popularity particularly on weekends and holidays, you may wish to telephone us on 01986 784347 to pre-book your session to avoid disappointment on the day.

If you do not own your own air rifle, we are able to hire air rifles for your 2 hour practice session or we are able to provide 1 hour air rifle instruction with all equipment provided. Air Rifle Hire must be pre-booked as we have a limited number available. Instruction must also be pre-booked.

Air Rifle Tariff

Air Rifle 2 hr Session (for those who have their own air rifles-no instruction or equipment included)
Adults (16yrs & over)-£15pp
Junior (up to 15yrs)-£10pp

Please note sessions are for 2 hours only, no refunds can be given for those who spend less time on the range. Sessions longer than 2 hours will incur extra charges.

Air Rifle Hire - If you wish to use our air rifle range as above but require the use of an air rifle, we do offer Air Rifle Hire. Air Rifle Hire must be pre-booked as we have a limited number of air rifles available. £20 per air rifle (includes 75 starter pellets) plus the session cost as above.

Whilst pre-booking air rifle sessions is not essential, we advise that you do telephone us on 01986 784347 to book, particularly on weekends, bank holidays and half terms as we can be busy and to avoid disappointment on the day. Please mention at the time of booking if air rifle hire is required as we have limited air rifles available.

Suitable for complete beginners or those who have used air rifle before but require tuition for those difficult targets. Eye, ear protection and use of a suitable air rifle is included if required. Pellets are included. 

Air Rifle 1 hour lesson (adult-16yrs & above) - £55 per hour

Air Rifle 1 Hour lesson (Juniors-8-15yrs) - £50 per hour

Lesson rates are for 1 person but a 2nd person can be added for an additional £15.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET THESE SAFETY RULES which apply to all air rifle shooters and spectators

  1. It is compulsory that everyone who enters the shooting area (including air rifle shooting) wears eye and ear protection at all times. We also recommend the wearing of a hat such as baseball cap.
  2. Spectators may accompany shooters, but shooters retain responsibility for their spectators.
  3. Guns must be broken at all times until in the shooting position, unless carried in a sleeve.
  4. Keep to the paths and obey all safety signs.
  5. We recommend the wearing of closed footwear and rugged clothing.
  6. Children under the age of 6 years are not permitted on the shooting ground.
